Cynthia Kalina-Kaminsky, Ph.D.

Dr. Cynthia Kalina-Kaminsky brings to her clients the ability to integrate emerging technologies and trends into existing operations in order to create dynamic, forward moving initiatives. For over 20 years, she has brought state-of-the-art research and techniques into organizations to make possible strategically growth and the competency to meet new challenges through effective organizational change. She fully understands that bringing new technologies into organizations alone can be a recipe for disaster and therefore makes sure that strategic processes, innovation and implementation are carefully planned and executed to provide the greatest possible benefit. By bringing a wealth of communication, analysis, and methodology tools to bear, Cynthia works with executive management and project members throughout the organization to integrate new ideas and processes effectively and efficiently for the greatest organizational benefit.

Cynthia has worked with large, multinational companies as well as small, emerging technology companies, all of whom are looking for strategic business development and competitive process innovation. In addition, Cynthia has also worked in the government arena. In appreciation of her consulting work, a local government passed a proclamation commending her ability to define and execute strategy and to communicate that strategy effectively to all levels of interest. Her work with emerging technologies includes near RFID, infrared biomedical technology, microsensors, artificial muscles, biocurative fluidics, structural health monitoring, nanotechnology, robotics, and others. Furthering the emergence of these technologies, she headed a university Entrepreneurship Program to bring technologies to market. She was also the Vice President of Business Development for a nanotechnology startup.

Originally hired as a manufacturing engineer in the mid-80's to redesign factories to meet the global competitive threat, Cynthia was on the leading edge of pulling organizational units into teaming relationships to provide transparency to strategic initiatives and decision making consequences throughout an organization. She opened her first business in 1989 and then opened her management consulting business in 2001. Dr. Kalina-Kaminsky holds a B.S. in General Engineering from the University of Illinois - Urban/Champaign in the area of solar design for residential and commercial buildings, an M.S. in General Engineering from the University of Illinois - Urbana/Champaign in the area of digital control theory and robotics, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering - engineering management from The University of Texas at Arlington where her dissertation focused on the investigation of external culture, internal cultural, and change management methodology factors and their relation to success in terms of organizational performance and financial objectives.
